A crash Wednesday morning in Altoona resulted in a Cambria County woman’s arrest.
27 year old Meagan Alexander, of Mineral Point, is accused of being high on drugs when the minivan she was driving hit several parked vehicles on 7th Avenue.
The accident happened q little before 6:30 yesterday morning. 47 year old Patrick Damiano of Altoona suffered multiple fractures of the right tibia and fibula, a broken left tibia and a possible "artery occlusion" in the right leg when he was pinned between two vehicles.
Police say Alexander’s eyes were bloodshot and her speech was slurred and she admitted that she had been smoking a white powder and taken a prescription painkiller before the crash.
Police found hypodermic needles and prescription pain pills in Alexander's vehicle.
She is facing a charge of felony aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence.
