Homecoming, PSU Win Nets Several Arrests

It was a busy weekend for police in State College.

Borough officials say they made at least 34 arrests – mostly students who had too much to drink. Police say a majority of the arrests were for underage drinking, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

A police report indicated that several people were taken to the hospital after overdosing on alcohol. Several assaults were also reported. Extra police were on patrol this weekend in an effort to keep the partying situation under control.
