An Everett woman was killed Monday night on a Bedford County highway.
57 year old Glenda Riley was the victim.
State police say that the accident happened a little after 10pm on Business Route 220 in Bedford Township near Sawblade Road.
The car Riley was a passenger in hit a deer and the occupants of the car exited the vehicle to try and get the dead deer off the roadway. Riley tried to wave down an oncoming vehicle driven by 46 year old Timothy Baumgardner of Manns Choice in an effort to slow it down. Baumgardener told police that when he saw Riley he tried to slow down and swerve away from her but was unable to avoid hitting her.
