Blair County officials are seeking two appraisals on the former Russo Demolition site in Altoona.
The county purchased the property at a tax sale earlier this year – shortly after paying $123-thousand to have the abandoned structure torn down. Commissioner Terry Tomassetti says he’s hopeful someone will eventually be interested.
Tomassetti says no prospective buyers have approached the county yet – and the board may consider making it a tax zone down the road. The board will pay Christopher Bartoletti $600 and David Consiglio $950 for their appraisals.
