Accused of stealing pain pills, an Altoona man is facing charges.
Police say just before 4AM Wednesday an 81-year-old woman saw someone in her home on the 200 block of Willow Avenue. The burglar fled the scene with no one getting hurt but police were told the woman's prescription hydrocodone pills were missing.
Relatives told police they should look at 23 year old Ryan Vaughn of 219 Willow Avenue as a suspect.
Upon arriving at Vaughn's home police saw him holding the bottle of pills in one hand and a knife in the other. Vaughn dropped the knife when he was directed to step outside.
Police say Vaughn admitted to breaking into the woman's home in search of the pills.
He’s charged with felony burglary and related charges.
