Contracts Extended for State University Presidents
Twelve presidents who are in charge of universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education had their contracts extended by a year.
The system's board on Thursday voted to extend their contracts through June 30, 2016, following performance reviews for the presidents of Bloomsburg, Cheyney, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Millersville, Slippery Rock and West Chester universities.
Two presidents, Shippensburg University's interim President George Harpster and California University's interim President Geraldine Jones didn't receive contract extensions.
No salary increase accompanied the contract extensions.
