Blair County Says Final Farewells To Long Time Law Officer
The Blair County Community prepares to pay final respects to a respected long time law official.
John Reilly Sr. died at the age of 65 last Friday at his residence after an extended battle with cancer.
Reilly, a 1986 graduate of Johnstown Regional Police Academy, served as a police officer for 24 years, retiring from field service in East Freedom in 2011, where he remained Chief of Police until his death.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Sorge Funeral Home in Hollidaysburg, where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held 11 Thursday morning at the Puzzletown Road Bible Church. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Freedom Township Veterans Memorial Project.
