Fleck to Host Bridge Dedication Ceremony in Spruce Creek

This afternoon State Rep. Mike Fleck will host a dedication ceremony for the Sidney N. Hamer Memorial Bridge, which carries State Route 45 over the Little Juniata River in Spruce Creek Township, Huntingdon County.
Fleck sponsored legislation that authorized the designation of the bridge in honor of U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Sidney N. Hamer of Spruce Creek, who died on Sept. 30, 2011, at the age of 78.  Hamer served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and was awarded 17 ribbons and medals, including the Bronze Star, during his illustrious military career.
The event is scheduled for 1:45.
