Former Lakemont Woman Accused Of Stabbing Neighbor Over Borrowed Money
A woman currently housed in the State Correctional Institution at Muncy on a parole violation is facing charges pertaining to a stabbing earlier this month.
32 year old Donna Boore, formerly of Lakemont, is accused of stabbing a neighbor.
Police say the incident happened on October 6 after Boore borrowed over $500 from the woman to go shopping. When Boore wouldn’t pay her neighbor back tensions rose and during the course of the confrontation Boore allegedly stabbed the woman in the arm.
Boore’s version of what happened was that the neighbor showed up at her door demanding money and that the two had not gone shopping on October 6th and she didn’t have the knife in question. Surveillance footage from the store shows Boore picking out items she was accused of buying with the money. The knife and the merchandise were not found when Boore’s home on the 400 block of Eldon Avenue was searched.
Boore faces felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor theft charges.
